We've all been there. We've asked, or been asked, "What do you want to know about your research subject?" only to hear, or say, "Everything! I want everything you have!"
What process do you use when you're ready to move away from doing global searches at the big websites, to searching individual databases, record groups, and series within record groups? What are the advantages and disadvantages of searching each way? How do you use the significant details about your person to inform your research plan and show you what needs to be done next (and tell you you're looking at the right person, as opposed to someone else with the same name in the same place)?
